BMW M2 G87 Akrapovic Exhaust

This exhaust system is crafted entirely from high-grade titanium and incorporates innovative features, including two valves—one for each side of the muffler—and two acoustic reflectors. The valve housings and collectors are precision-cast in Akrapovič's in-house titanium foundry, ensuring unmatched quality and durability. The system offers a choice of two tailpipe designs: the groundbreaking octagonal shape, first introduced with the BMW M3/M4 exhaust, or a more traditional and classic style. Both options feature twin sets of tailpipes with hand-crafted carbon-fiber outer sleeves. The use of lightweight materials results in a weight reduction of 7.3 kg (32.7%) compared to the standard stock exhaust.

When tested on the Akrapovič dyno against a BMW M2 Coupé with a standard exhaust, this system demonstrated a power increase of 3.9 kW (5.3 hp) and a torque gain of 13.5 Nm, both at 2,800 rpm. Designed to enhance the driving experience, the system works seamlessly with the advanced Akrapovič control kit, tailoring gas flow to deliver a smooth, refined tone during normal cruising and a deep, sporty exhaust note during dynamic driving.

The system requires no ECU remapping and complies with ECE type-approval standards for the BMW M2 Coupé (G87) equipped with Otto/gasoline particulate filters. For those seeking additional performance enhancements, optional link pipes and downpipes are available for closed-circuit use, along with the optional Akrapovič Sound Kit. However, installing these options invalidates the ECE type approval for the Slip-On Line (Titanium).
