The Eventuri Carbon Air Intake System for the BMW Z4 M40i G29 is a meticulously engineered solution designed to optimize the turbocharged B58 engine by providing a less restrictive airflow path while maintaining low inlet temperatures. This intake system combines advanced engineering with premium materials to deliver measurable performance gains, improved engine efficiency, and an enhanced driving experience.

Heat and volume were key considerations during development. The intake system in the Z4 is positioned near the exhaust manifold, which causes rapid heat soak in the engine bay. High inlet air temperatures (IATs) are detrimental to performance, as the turbo must work harder to compress heated, less dense air. To counter this, the Eventuri intake features a fully sealed airbox, ensuring that the turbo draws in cooler, denser air. Additionally, the airbox incorporates a gold reflective heat shield to minimize radiative heat transfer from the exhaust manifold, maintaining optimal IATs.

To further enhance airflow, Eventuri identified and utilized an additional opening in the wheel arch area, adding a secondary air feed to the sealed airbox. The airbox itself is maximized for volume, accommodating a potential strut brace, while the smooth carbon intake tube replaces the stock convoluted tube. This carbon tube, with an initial internal diameter of 111mm (4.4") tapering down to the turbo inlet, provides a smooth and efficient airflow path, reducing turbulence and increasing internal volume.

The system is completed with a custom high-flow dry filter, which has a larger filtration area than the stock filter and is ISO-tested for filtration performance. This ensures clean, unrestricted airflow for maximum engine efficiency and performance.
