Our 4.0 TFSI V8 EA825 intake system is a complete redesign and optimization of the entire air inlet pathway, crafted to maximize the performance of the V8 twin-turbo engine. Every element, including the airbox lid, has been meticulously engineered to minimize airflow restrictions, delivering industry-leading performance gains.
The factory airbox lid imposes a limitation on the size of the flow collector that channels air from the filters to the inlets. To overcome this, we increased the height of the lid's central section, enabling the use of a larger flow collector and oversized cone filters. This design eliminates the bottleneck inherent in the stock configuration, setting our intake apart from competitors that rely on the restrictive stock lid and filtration setup.
Our turbo inlets feature a cross-sectional area up to 43% larger than stock, with an advanced dimpled inner surface to minimize frictional losses. This innovative design creates a “cushion” of air along the walls, enhancing airflow efficiency and reducing pressure loss. The result is a system that allows the turbos to draw air with significantly less resistance, lowering the wastegate duty cycle and unlocking superior overall performance.
